Well my poor blog here has been SOOOO neglected. With being busy with home life and Graffiti Chicks it definitely shows on this blog. I am hoping to spark it back up though. I have been doing a lot of things between learning more with my photography and now I am in the 2010 Apprentice program at Little Dreamer Designs.

I am SO excited and yet very nervous about the Apprentice program! I feel so lucky to have been chosen to participate and hope I can make it until the end. We started the first round off with making a mini kit. You can grab my mini kit absolutely FREE and leave some lovin' at Little Dreamer Designs HERE. Here is a peeky at my mini, Feeling Happy.

People all over the world are stepping up to do their part to help get these people the things they so desperately need. at keeping up with my bloggie lately! ugh! I promise I will do better with it. I am even working on a new blog design (def time for an update lol).

So what is new in my world....

Well I am soo BEYOND EXCITED to say that I am now a member of the Shabby Pickle Designs site creative team. I am still in complete SHOCK that I was invited and totally thrilled about it. SPD has some of the most AMAZING designers and such a FANTASTIC team and I am so happy to be able to be apart of it! So make sure you stop by to join in the fab challenges, hang out in the forum, and ,of course, SHOP!

I know I really should update with some of my newest pages, but I am going to wait for now. When the new blog design is up, I will start keeping up with my recent pages and all the fab goodies and news from the fabulous designers I work with!

The contest is finally over! I know there are mixed feelings on the contest but I believe it was a great contest that allowed me to stretch my creativity more. I don't consider myself a *professional* scrapper (not even sure what that is?!) or one who creates *digital art* (I scrap for the memories too) but I didn't feel for one second that I didn't belong in the competition any less than anyone else. I really had a great time with it and enjoyed chatting with my lovie Brooke during it all and seeing where we could take our pages! A HUGE congrats the winners and a BIG thank you to A5's Amy, SPD's Laura, and everyone who helped to pull this contest off! Also a special shout out to all the fabulous participants who left the most wonderful comments!

Ok on to my pages!! Woot! I will have to admit, I was sooooo terrible at doing my pages very last second (and I a mean reaaallly last second, just ask Brooke lol). The first week I was so on the ball, had my page finished and posted in the gallery very quick. That week we were supposed to do a page that describes ourselves. I went with the word *Dreamer*. That can sum me up quite perfectly. I always have ideas roaming around in my head. A HUGE daydreamer for sure. In this layout, I thought it would be perfect to use some photos I took while on a roadtrip of the open road. I thought that the open road represented that your dreams can take you anywhere! The second week was about a flashback. About the past. For me it was showing a collection of old photos of my family's past. And what better way to show them off then in an album (pay attention to the credits-I actually used a stock photo here. Can you believe it?!). I had fun creating this page and always love seeing my family's photos of the past. Here it is:

The third week was all about a photo you felt lucky to get. For me there was no question. It was this photo of my son and his dad that I took while we were broke down right before his dad had a terrible stroke and an even worse 5 years afterwards before he passed away. This photo was the last photo I took of them together prior to his dad's stroke and long battle. It will forever be treasured. Here it is:

The fourth week consisted of scrapping a song we loved. When thinking of a song, I couldn't help but to keep coming to *My Wish* by Rascal Flatts. The words in the song are so powerful and I sincerely have the same wishes for my children. In this layout I used a photo of my youngest son as an infant. I haven't really used any of their baby photos so I thought I was safe in using it and keeping my anonymity. Here it is:

For the fifth week we had to use some sort of photo processing on the photo and make the page about color. So I just had to use Kasia's Artsty Town kit and chose a photo of me and my husband at our wedding (ignore how big, fat, and preggers I am lol). I always play with the levels and curves on my photos. And with this one, I duplicated it, converted one to black and white and then used it as an overlay on the color photo. Lowered the opacity, and basically it mutes the colors a bit to give it a washed out look. Check it out:

Hello world! Yes I am still alive! I have been keeping so busy that more poor blog has taking the loss for it. But I decided to make the effort to get some pages posted today and try to get up to date as possible.

Not too much new going on the homefront. We are hosting the lovely Flat Isis all the way from California. She has been having a fabulous time and will be making her departure soon. I will post photos of our time later! :)

I have been participating in the most wonderful contest *So You Think You Can Scrap* being held by After Five Designs and Shabby Pickle Designs. Each week we are given a different theme to scrap. Everyone is anon, so we go by numbers instead of our names. So far the contest has been a lot of fun and I have been enjoying myself. It will be fun in the end if we can find out who is who!

This month I have been so LUCKY to be guesting for Kristen Rice (K Studio) of After Five Designs. I am just a HUGE fan of Kristen's and love all of her most wonderful goodies. I have been having a blast working with her and her team this month and don't want it to end!

I have also been guesting for the sweetest designer around, Kitty Chen. I just love Kitty Designs and all her whimiscal goodies. She is not only too sweet, but a very talented designer and scrapper. I have been having a great time hanging out with her and her team and wish the month was longer! LOL!

Looks like we are going to be getting a winter storm starting tonight. Joy. LOL!! So with this in mind, I am trying to get everything around here ready for a possible power outage. Because if we get a lot of ice like we just may, the power will most likely go out. Between trying to make sure the house is all ready for it and getting as many as my Graffiti Chicks jobs and layouts done, I am sure getting tired and ready to just go get cozy on the couch! LOL! So if I disappear for a bit, you know I have no power!

On to a layout....I was lucky enough to do a one kit call for the wonderful Kawouette using her new kit *Louise*. I really enjoyed working with this beautiful kit! You can find it at Digital Crea. Here is my layout.

I just put a roast in the crockpot (and boy is it smelling good already..) and making my rounds on the forums and thought it has definitely been awhile since I have actually blogged. So I am going to try to catch up here! LOL!

Well, as usual, Graffiti Chicks has been staying quite busy. I am having a good time with it and enjoy working with everyone.

Not much too different on the home front. Doing housework, keeping up with the kiddos, etc. The usual day to day activities. Everyone is ready for the warmer weather and to be able to go outside and actually enjoy the day!

I am still keeping busy with scrapping too. I have recently joined the teams of Fruit LoOp Sally and Cafe J. Other than that, I have mostly been guesting or freelancing which has been a lot of fun! Now I am going to bombard (ok I will be nice and do some of the most recent ones lol) you with all the layouts I haven't posted here! LOL! Some are CT layouts and some are just for fun! Well I finally decided to get my blog in the Christmas spirit too! So I had fun dressing it up using the fabulous new collection Jolly Holidays by Gina Marie Huff over at Weeds and Wildflowers. This collection is HUGE and packed with so many goodies. I am doing my Christmas cards with this kit too! I will have to post it when I get done with it.

Other than playing with the blog, I have been working hard as usual and keeping busy. Getting excited about Christmas fast approaching and definitely have been in a better mood.

I am not 100% finished with the blog yet. I am actually going to put a photo in the banner, just need to take the picture first. And I am going to do some font color changes. So it should all be finished soon!

Things have really picked up with Graffiti Chicks. I have been really lucky with all of that and so happy to announce that Graffiti Chicks now has its own site and no longer running off the blog! Woot!!

Bad, bad blogger! Yes I have been neglecting the blog lately. Things have gotten a bit hectic around here and then I ended up sick with vertigo. So it definitely hasn't been fun lately. But the great news is that I am feeling better and the medicine seems to be doing its job!! Yay for that!!

I have still been keeping busy with my CT's and Graffiti Chicks. Lots of current jobs that I have been working on for GC and will post over there soon. I have posted some recent work there a bit ago that you can check out!

I will be playing catch up with my CT's and will be taking advantage of Sweet Shoppe's down time for that! LOL! I can't wait to see the new look Sweet Shoppe will have when they are all done! Exciting times indeed!

Another exciting announcement is the start date of ASDR 4! I just missed it last time and can't wait to participate in this one! I have already teamed up with an amazing scrapper and dear friend, Sara (scarletsierra). I can't wait until January so we can begin!! Woot!!

Is it terrible that it is still early in November and I am listening to Christmas music already?! For some reason, I am very ready for the Christmas season to begin. Ready to feel all the magic, love, and warmth of the Christmas spirit. If only it could feel like that all year round....

Okies, lots of rambling in this post! I promise that I will be back to posting regularly. I have layouts that I need to post, so I will be doing that soon!!

Well I have certainly been VERY busy with Graffiti Chicks stuff. I am so excited about all the projects I am working on right now and can't wait to share on the Graffiti Chicks blog. It has all definitely kept me busy!!

Halloween is getting closer, and the kiddos are beyond ready for it! We already had Savannah's costume and today Ethan's came in the mail. He just had to be Buzz Lightyear this year and was ready to go trick or treating tonight! LOL! I had to inform him that we still had a few days yet before it was time for that!

Well, I am keeping this somewhat short! Thought I would pop in and make a quick post while I am taking a short break!!! I will post when I am done with my projects so you can see what I have been up too!

Well it is finally Fridayyyyyy!!! Friday's are always full of goodness. SSD sneak peeks, Friday night chats at SSD, and of course that means the weekend has finally arrived!! Almost time for Sweet Shoppe Saturdays!!! Woooottt!!

Things have certainly been very busy for me lately. Between the Graffiti Chicks and all my CT's, I have lots going on. I am really excited about projects that I am working on with two of my CT's. I think everyone is going to loooove them. But I can't give out any secrets about it yet! LOL!!! I was up late last night working on this blog that I am doing for a Graffiti Chicks client and hopefully will be done with it soon. You can check it out here, Graffiti Chicks Test Blog. Truthful Tuesday

The girls at the Sweet Shoppe thought it would be good to start Truthful Tuesdays on our blogs. So I decided to join in this week and see how it goes. I am a little apprehensive about posting my honest thoughts on my blog. LOL! I could honestly be here forever griping about all sorts of things! But I am almost certain, that would get me in a whole lot of trouble.

Today probably isn't the best day for me to start doing this. I am not having a good day really. I am feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. I am sure it doesn't help that in my personal life, there is a lot going on that is extremely stressful. My hubby still hasn't left out for his new job yet, and things are getting wayyy too tight around here. He is supposed to be getting umemployment (since he was let go from his last job) but we still haven't even received the first check. They keep saying it has been mailed out, but it doesn't take that long to get mail from Chicago to here. In the meantime, we have nothing.... So that in itself brings on so much stress from how are we going to pay bills, to putting gas in the van to get my middle son from school etc, to making sure the family has everything they need.

And I have been given the big "no" letter from SMJ, which is a real bummer, but I am not going to go on about that.

Anyhoo, thanks for listening to my rant. I am not one to usually put my financial problems, etc out for the world to see, but it does feel good to get it off my chest. Thanks again!!

I am so excited to say that I am now a proud owner of the new Canon Rebel XSi DSLR!!!! Too bad I don't actually have it yet! LOL!! We ordered it today from B & H Photo and it should be here by the 17th!!! I soooo can't wait!!! I have been wanting a DSLR for a long time now and I can't wait to start playing with it and learning everything I can about it!!!

I also am now a proud owner of a Wii Fit!! Although I must say that little Wii pad and I are going to have a little talking making my Mii blow up like it did! LOL!! I guess it is trying to tell me something!! Anyhoo, we played on it last night and it really is a lot of fun!! And yes, my out of shape self, actually felt it today too! I am very happy with it so far, and can totally see this as part of my daily routine (which I so need!! lol). I will keep you updated on my progress with it! LOL!!

This week we are talking about our fav vacation spots. My family loves going to Panama City, Florida. Not only do we get to visit with my sister and her family but there are so many FUN things to do there. We love going to the beach, fishing, playing mini golf and racing go karts!! There are so many activities that everyday can be as fun-filled as we want!!

I promise to get my new design up soon! I had truly thought I would have it up by now but so much has been going on here recently!!

Since hubby got a new job up north (about 5 hours north of us now), we are looking at moving. So we have been staying at my parents looking at rentals every chance we get. So far no luck, hopefully we will find that "right" place soon! Wish us luck! I am tired of being between households!

Good new, I am now a member of The Bean Team! I am SUPER thrilled to be on MandaBean's team, she is amazing and such an awesome person! The team is fantastic and I look forward to making many beautiful creations with her designs! You can find all her awesome stuff at Sweet Shoppe Designs!

I have managed to do a layout with her newest kit Liberty & Justice. This is an amazing kit that will work wonders with your Fourth of July photos yet, it is versatile to use for everyday scrapping. Here is my LO here (everything is from Liberty & Justice, star shapes made by me covered with paper from kit).

Well, there has been many different things going on lately! I will try to sum it all up in one post!!

First off, there is an amazing charity kit at Shabby Pickle Designs that all the proceeds (minus PayPal fees) will go to Laurie G. You can read the ad below for all the details, and it is linked up to the kit! It is a HUGE good at such an awesome price for a WONDERFUL cause!! You really need to get it!

Ok on to the second bit of news, I am now a Hawt Freelancer for Traci Reed! She is an amazing designer and I am honored to be able to create for her!! Woot woot! You can find her fabulous designs at her shop or at Sweet Shoppe Designs!!

Today we are talking about favorite summer activities! The first thing that I think of when I hear summer (besides HOT!!) is grilling! I LOVE cooking out! Food just taste sooo much better off the grill! Besides that, we love getting outdoors. Playing in the water, going on mini adventures and checking out sites, visiting the spillway, and just plain ol' being togethter!

As if I wasn't addicted to a ton of scrap designers and shops already, I have to add Shabby Pickle Designs to the list! It is an awesome shop and community and I know they will def be taking all my money! LOL!

I had to go out of town and just got back today and have been busy working on some CT layouts. I am having so much fun with the new kits from all of my awesome designers. Here are the LOs I made with their awesome new stuff.

First up is my LO using Penny Springmann & Misty Cato's 2 Scoops "Grilling & Chilling". It is such a fun kit, perfect for those many BBQs of Summer. And this week only, you can get the matching Coaster album for FREE. I also used Penny Springmann's Bent Bunch #15 in this LO and Dani Mogstads bug trail from her Gone Buggy.

Next is a LO I made using SaraAmarie's fun new kit "Be Amused". This kit is packed so full of fun for many occasions. You can also get the matching Abby album this week only for FREE. I knew I just had to use these photos of my son and nieces when I first seen this kit. Also used in this kit is the cookie template from SSD for the cookie challenge.

And last but not least, is ScrapKitchen Designs beautiful kit to honor Dad, "That's My Daddy". This is a very versatile kit with wonderful papers and elements! Perfect for that Father's Day gift you need to work on! This week only you can also get the matching album for the Abby album (which is a very cool album) for FREE!

I have definitely been busy again with all the happenings in my life. But I did manage to do two LOs for Sugar Giggles using Summer's awesome products!!! Here they are:

My boys LOVE Rock Band, so I pulled out the ol' Rock Band picks and did another LO of them getting their "rock on"! With this LO I used Rock and Roll Rainbow paper pack, element pack, and word art! I love the bright, fun colors in this collection! You can find it at Sugar Giggles!

This is me and hubby at Panama City Beach, FL. where we got married on the beach (and yes I am preggers, it was an unexpected surprise during our engagement! LOL). This LO is using Sugar Giggles Hip Mommy kit! I love the modern feel to it and it would be perfect for pregnancy and non-pregnancy related LOs!

With the kiddos having no school again today, I thought I was going to be able to "sleep in" some. Nope, not today! I get an early wake up call from the hubby saying he hit a deer and our van is all messed up!! Luckily my hubby is ok, but can't say the same for the deer. So now we are driving a rental car until our van gets fixed.
